FAMILY AND LEARNING

Gist of the undernoted Sanskrit verse is: A person learns

25% from his teacher;
25% from his own intellectual effort;
25% from celibasy;
25% in course of time.

From teacher, we can infer: schools, colleges and Universities.
From own intellectual efforts : planned studies.
From celibacy: In those days of yore, it was mandatory for students to follow celibacy. Not sure what is learnt from celibacy! Quantifying it is also apparently difficult.

25% in course of time
This is very important. One may learn even 50% after marriage. Then, by that time, it may be too late.
